Education:I earned my bachelors from MSU where I majored in Mathematics and minored in Physics. While at MSU I also earned my teaching certificate in the College of Education. After my first year of teaching, I was fortunate to get my masters in the Art of Teaching at Marygrove College, located in Detroit.
Experience:For the 2023-2024 school year, I will be starting my 25 year (23rd in DeWitt) of teaching. My first two years were spent teaching Algebra I, Algebra II, and Physics at Farmington High School. This school year, I will be teaching 7th Grade Math.
Biography:In addition to teaching in DeWitt, I live in this wonderful town, as well. My wife, Kari, and I have a special commonality. Although she retired two years ago after 29 years, she too, was a DeWitt teacher. With that said, we are proud to have seen our own children grow up in DeWitt. My son, Lucas, graduated in 2019 and is attending LCC. My daughter, Karly, graduated in 2022 and will be starting her Sophomore year at Grand Valley State University.
Lastly, parents and students of my class should make it a habit of checking Infinite Campus, Google Classroom, and my website on a regular basis. The website will have calendars that include assignment dates, quiz dates, and test dates. You will also have access to hand outs that are given in class. Feel free to contact me via e-mail [email protected] or by phone 668-3269 should you have any questions or concerns. I look forward in working with you during this 2023-2024 school year. Sincerely, Dan Roy |
